Babolat Aeropro Drive: Rafa Nadal's weapon of choice

The last version of the Babolat Aeropro Drive is from 2013 and will remain unchanged for the 2015 collection. However, in January 2015 one PLAY implementation of this racket came true.

For Babolat's 2016 racket collection, the Aeropro Drive has been replaced by the brand new Babolat Pure Aero series! Read all about the successor to the Aeropro Drive here.

Compared to its predecessor, the Active Cortex damper in the new Aeropro Drive provides more feeling and comfort. It is easy to generate spin with this racket, which is good for making a lot of angles with your groundstrokes. The typical thing about Babolat's Aero series is of course the housing of the frame at the heart of the racket. Due to the triangular shape, there is less air resistance when swinging the racket compared to a normal racket, which ensures that this racket is very easy and quick to maneuver. In terms of specs, the Babolat Aeropro Drive is close to the Pure Drive, but this racket definitely provides more control and spin, while the Pure Drive provides power a little easier. The Aeropro Drive also provides a steady feel on the net.

So if you are looking for a racket for dominant play with a lot of spin from the baseline, but if you like to stick to a normal string pattern (16/19) for a solid feel and a lot of control, then the Aeropro Drive from Babolat is a good choice. This racket is also available in an extended version, a Team version of 280 grams and a Lite version of 260 grams for the ambitious youth player.
