1. Wilson Blade 100 V9
Our big winner and bestseller of 2024 is the Wilson Blade 100 V9. This racket offers the familiar, distinctive Blade feel, but in a more accessible and spin-friendly package. An absolute all-rounder from Wilson, and therefore our No. 1 of 2024!
2. Head Speed MP 2024
The updated Speed MP 2024 makes it very easy to hit a solid ball without immediately overhitting. The swingweight has been increased, which is both a plus and a minus. The racket now demands a little more from the player, but if you can deliver, it’s a wonderfully solid weapon! The 'Legend' editions of the Pro and MP also look stunning.
3. Babolat Pure Strike 100 16x20
For 2024, Babolat updated the Pure Strike series. Here’s a little teaser: the Pure Drive series is next in 2025. New to the Pure Strike lineup is a heavier Pure Strike 100, but with a 16x20 string pattern for added control. An excellent addition to Babolat’s most control-oriented racket family.
4. Wilson RF 01
Of the new Wilson RF 01 rackets (the RF 01 Pro, RF 01 and RF 01 Future), we liked the 'regular' 300-gram RF 01 best. The racket feels wonderfully direct, precise and predictable, and is a little more forgiving than the Pro version.
5. Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V9
Mike thoroughly enjoyed testing the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V9. The racket feels a little more stable than the V8 version, while retaining its familiar playing characteristics. A rock-solid racket, and no wonder it’s the most widely used racket on tour.
6. Diadem Nova 100 V3
Power and comfort don’t usually go hand in hand. The Diadem Nova 100 V3 does an excellent job of bringing them together! This racket has playing characteristics similar to the Babolat Pure Drive, but filters out many harmful vibrations.
7. ASICS Solution Speed FF 3
Our all-time favorite tennis shoe got an update in 2024. It remains incredibly fast, with a wonderfully direct, low-to-the-ground feel on court. ASICS’ lightest tennis shoe ever: read our review of the ASICS Solution Speed FF 3 again here!
8. Head Extreme MP 2024
The Head Extreme MP 2024 is a bit of a guilty pleasure for us. It’s so incredibly easy to play with: plenty of free power and heavy spin. Of course, you’ll occasionally overhit, but the extra spin gives you more margin on your shots.
9. Prince TXT 2.5 Legacy 110
For players with a compact swing, the Prince TXT 2.5 Legacy 110 is one of the best and most arm-friendly options on the market. This racket offers a generous, forgiving sweet spot and excellent stability thanks to Textreme technology.
10. Head Gravity Tour 2025
The Head Gravity 2025 series launches in mid-January 2025, but we’ve already had the chance to test the Tour version for around three months. This is set to be an absolute standout for 2025: read the full review here.
