1. Yonex Percept 100D
What a wonderful racket! A fine example of Japanese craftsmanship, this racket offers a wonderful mix of power, control, ball feel, comfort, and solid spin. You really have to experience the feel of the Yonex Percept 100D for yourself. The 310-gram Percept 97 also proved to be a real winner!
2. Babolat Pure Aero 98
The Pure Aero 98 from Babolat is the racket of Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune, although Rune is now testing the Pure Strike 2024. The racket is fast, offers easy access to spin, and is perfectly balanced between power and control. Everything good about the Pure Aero, only with more control and feel!
3. Head Radical MP 2023
The previous Radical MP already performed very well, but the addition of Auxetic gives the Head Radical MP 2023 even more feel and finer ball control. All this with the versatility the Radical has traditionally offered: a superb all-rounder that performs on all fronts!
4. Wilson Shift 99 V1
The Wilson Shift is stable on flat shots, but the frame 'bends/flexes' more as you brush up more over the ball. This enhances the spin. Whether you like it or not, it certainly offers a unique feel!
5. ASICS Gel Resolution 9
The ASICS Gel Resolution 9 is, in our opinion, the ultimate shoe for the baseliner! The shoe offers excellent stability and durability, and the comfort is also outstanding! The fit has also been slightly adjusted, making it a great option for players with a slightly wider foot.
6. Diadem Elevate 98 V3
The Diadem Elevate 98 V3 has a pro-stock feel. This racket is incredibly stable and also extremely comfortable for a racket in this category. A very fine control racket with arm-friendly playability and great looks! Looks matter too, after all...;) The heavier Tour version and the lighter 290-gram Lite variant also play beautifully.
7. Luxilon Eco Power 1.25
A great initiative by Luxilon! The Eco Power 1.25 is made entirely from recycled materials. Because let's face it: we throw away a lot of strings (old ones and offcuts from new ones) and packaging materials. This is a great first step, and the string itself has very pleasant playing characteristics! Now it's really time for us to start collecting old strings so they can be made into new ones!
8. Wilson Pro Staff X V14
The Wilson Pro Staff X V14 is a slightly more forgiving Pro Staff at 315 grams. Highly recommended for the classic Pro Staff player for whom the smaller 97 sq/inch options are a bit too demanding. It has the classic Pro Staff feel, but with a good deal of extra power. The 'regular' Pro Staff 97 V14 has also been very well received.
9. Dunlop FX 500 2023
Of all the new FX rackets, the Dunlop FX 500 at 300 grams is by far our favorite. Nice free power without immediately losing control. The racket also has a very solid feel.
10. Head Gravity MP 2023
In terms of looks, the Head Gravity MP 2023 is one of the most beautiful rackets of the year. In terms of playing characteristics, the racket also certainly holds its own! The racket has a very predictable and consistent feel with nice stability.
